As we head into the new cricket season, we're reaching out to provide you with an update on Ampthill Town Cricket Club Women's section.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW COACH
We are so pleased to announce that we have a new coach joining our team to guide us alongside David Douglass. Gary Baney will be joining as coach for the Women's team for the 2023 season. Gary is very excited for this opportunity and looking forward to working with the team!
GET READY FOR CRICKET NETS
To prepare for our league games starting later in the year, we have arranged for practice hardball cricket net sessions at Flitwick Leisure Centre which will start on Sunday 12 February and run until the beginning of April, taking place from 19.30 until 20.30.
The fee is £3 per session per member and all equipment will be provided and we can’t wait to see you all there!
Outdoor training will start from the 17th of April from 18h00 to 19h30.
PLAN FOR OUR LEAGUE GAMES
We would like to understand how many of our Club members are interested in playing league games and what your availability will be like over the season.
League games start on Sunday 14 May and will run through to Sunday 3 September. Please indicate your availability for the games on Pitchero as much as you are able to, and final numbers will be confirmed via Pitchero nearer the time.
• Super 8 games will run from Sunday 14 May until Sunday 4 June.
• Normal league games will run from Sunday 18 June until Sunday 3 September.
Don’t forget that you’ll need to be registered with both Play Cricket and Pitchero to play games!
BECOME A SCORER OR UMPIRE
We’re currently recruiting for volunteer scorers and umpires for the league games. Full training will be provided to anyone who is interested, so if you’d like to help, please email us at ampthilltowncc@gmail.com
